Summary

• The Junior DevOps Engineer is responsible for assisting the software development team in automating deployment processes for software solutions and code repository.
• In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of our deployment infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
• Test implemented designs.
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Handle code deployments in all environments.
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
• Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
• Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.
• Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools with team.
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
• Improve infrastructure development and application development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferable in Fintech or Financial Services.
• Any of the following certifications is an added advantage: Docker Certified Associate, Puppet certification, Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Demonstrated experience using major DevOps tools.
• A good hands-on experience on cloud platform (AWS, and Azure).
• Good understanding of basic software security skills.
• Good command of automation technologies and tools including CI/CD, continuous testing, app performance monitoring, infrastructure settings and configurations.
