We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Be present and visible in the Help Desk and available to users requiring to provide technical assistance;
• Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment;
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically;
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues;
• Assures system stability and security;
• Analyze problems and implement solutions according to relevant procedures;
• Resolves and repairs problems within scope of authority;
• Installs and configures hardware like printer, scanner, UPS, Photocopy Machine, Modem, Network card, applications software etc.;
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
• Give remote support to users. (telephone, Skype for business or Team Viewer)
• Assist with on boarding of new users.
• Prioritizing and managing many IT support open cases at a time.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualification, Requirements and Skills

• HND or B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems or related fields
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Expert user of Microsoft office package Windows Server operating systems including Linux and open source packages
• Recognize the function of basic network infrastructure such as routers and switches
• Expert user of the majority of desktop applications
• Ability to support Wide Area Network and client/server based applications
• Understand the basic principles of structured cabling and the practicalities of connecting network devices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
