Ladgroup Limited is the foremost exporter of Sheanuts in Nigeria. Ladgroup has a Vegetable Oil Processing Factory nearing completion at Ikenne-Remo in Ogun State. This factory when commissioned will ‘pioneer the value addition to Sheanuts on a commercial scale primarily for the export market providing direct and indirect employment to numerous Nigerians and contributing towards increasing the non-oil export earnings of the nation.

Job Title: Production Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ikenne, Ogun

Job Description

• Multi-skilled, core skill either mechanical or electrical but must be competent in both disciplines, must have a passion for Continuous Improvement, lots of initiative and attention to detail and be someone who takes pride and responsibility in what he does.
• Understanding of instrument and control fundamentals is essential.
• Mechanically he will be able to demonstrate skills, working on process and packing equipment, pneumatics, conveyors, hydraulics, gearboxes, valves, rotary locks, pumps, blowers and bearing replacement.
• Will be responsible for leading the execution of the production and routine first line maintenance activities in production facilities and ensuring that production targets are met and that facilities maintenance, integrity, HSE and business requirements and are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine production and first line maintenance checks on all plant and process equipment and minor non-routine production activities
• Ensure compliance of plant operation within the operating envelope and guidelines.
• Execute all plant operations activities in a cost-effective manner.
• Monitor equipment performance/operability and effectively troubleshoot any process up-set and associated all Production facilities.
• Ensure that all routine maintenance and operations and non-routine operations, inspection, servicing and repair activities are implemented to appropriate standards
• Ensure the safety and security of the plant in an emergency and perform the role of Emergency Response Team member
• Execute the set programmes of minor routine equipment services as set out in the facility Manuals and Work Practices.
• Execute recommendations for performance improvement of individual assets
• Test functionality of asset to ensure integrity in conjunction with Production Manager.
• Monitor process parameters in the control room and co-ordinate intervention activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping within the plant areas.

Qualification / Experience

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Engineering
• 7 - 10 years’ cognate experience in related field
• Minimum of 5 years in Production and Maintenance operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Technical capability and understanding
• Product Knowledge
• Environmental/Industry analysis.
