Nomba - Launched in 2017 as "Kudi.ai", a chatbot that responds to financial requests on social apps, Nomba spent its first five years  empowering independent businesses to act as neighborhood banks offering basic financial services such as cash withdrawal, transfer and bill payments to all Nigerians, especially those in underserved communities. We currently process more than $500m in payments monthly.

Job Description

• In a bid to constantly remain in the faces of our customers, we are faced with an increasing demand for social media content, print and internal communication.
• It has become inevitable for us to hire a talented Graphics Designer to deliver excellent graphics that represent the visual identity of our brand & products.
• The ideal hire will be responsible for creating visual concepts to communicate inspiring, captivating and informative ideas as well as come up with comprehensive visual communication campaigns that will yield a high level of marketing impact.
• The ability to use digital design tools such as Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Figma and Illustrator, etc for graphic designs is non-negotiable.
• To be successful in this role,  you will need to keep an up-to-date insight into visual advertising trends and have a feel for efficient use of colors, printing options, layouts, and the likes.

About the Role

• Share and contribute to Nomba's design execution models
• Designing graphic content, illustrations, and infographics.
• Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery.
• Ensuring brand consistency throughout marketing projects.
• Contribute to Nomba's brand guidelines and systems incrementally. You will act as a guardian to said brand identity and call out fails and breaches in the said brand guide
• Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand and proposition strategy.
• Weigh in as a design expert in ideation sessions
• Ensuring that design and creative projects are delivered on time
• Working with other team members to deliver projects and activities to deliver against deadlines
• Drive our culture as a member of the design team, act as a mentor and trainee to your direct team members 
• Working on assets required for Product and Marketing teams
• Any other duties as assigned by your team lead.

About You

• A minimum of 5 years of proven graphics design experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Expert in design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and Acrobat)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Self-starter with high accountability
• Strong design and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and customer-focused with an ability to receive constructive criticism
• Ability to edit videos is a plus.
