Job Description
We are urgent need of an experienced Tax Supervisor / Manager with proficiency in Tax Audit, Accounting, Bookkeeping and Auditing.
Competence in Tax Audit, Bookkeeping, preparation of Management accounts and Financial Statements is mandatory. The candidate must have worked or be working in an Audit firm.
Job Summary
Tax Supervisor/Manager is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the firm’s objectives including:
Supervising Staff
Overseeing existing clients and new clients
Project / Job planning/Scheduling
Assisting with staff coaching, mentoring, and training
Participating in networking events and staff / client relationships events.
Position Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the Tax Supervisor/Manager are as follows:
Engagement Planning and Scheduling
Assigning adequate staff and other resources to projects while controlling other projects
Managing budgets for the jobs, raising red flags to the Partners/Manager when a project grows out of scope or is moving towards timing overage
Supervising staff assigned to ensure that schedules, budgets, and quality requirements are met
Reviewing of Working papers, Tax Computations, Capital allowances computation and Tax Returns.
Communicating the engagement status with the Partner/Manager, the client and their advisors on a timely and ongoing basis
Providing on-the-job training to staff
Participating and Leading Audit and investigation assignments.
Skills and Education Required
The skills and education required for this position are:
ACA or ACCA plus Bachelor's Degree or HND and An interest in working with small to medium-sized businesses
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Audit Firm
Positive, can-do demeanor with a willingness to “dig in” and get the work done
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding, comprehension, and ability to articulate auditing, accounting, and tax concepts
Strong leadership skills with ability to supervise others
Good research skills
Proficiency in Word and Excel and other accounting software used at the firm
Follow up with the relevant tax authorities on the collection of PAYE receipts and TCC,l etc.
Ensure timely filing of annual returns.
Handling of Tax Audits with adequate preparation and communication with the Partner-in-Charge
Carry out any other duty as requested by the Manager/Partner.
Measures of Success:
The Supervisor/Manager will be deemed to have been successful when he or she has:
Completed the engagements assigned to him/her within the expected budgets
Received positive feedback from his/her clients, managers and partners
Exhibited the actions and positive attitude in participation in the other aspects of firm growth as articulated above
Begun development of his/her own referrals from satisfied clients and their contacts in the business community.

Remuneration / Salary Guide / Opportunities
Salary Range: N150,000.00 - 250,000.00 per Month
