Job Title: Project Development Manager

Job Description
The key responsibility of this role is for you to manage the development of small to large, solar PV projects including mini-grid from initial site assessments and study, and designs, through to the planning and delivery, and commissioning as well as performing routine maintenance of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the business development and technical team to install PV inverters, commission new equipment, and enhance customer experience through quality service and professional conduct.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market, competitive, and customer research supported by interaction with customers and non-customers to identify emerging trends, consumer demands, and technologies.
Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.
Perform simulation of solar PV, forecast system performance, and energy production to optimize efficiency.
Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects
Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders
Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks
Report and escalate to upper management as and when needed
Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation
Develop proposals and make presentations when required
Influence Business strategic direction.
Perform any other duty that maybe assigned to you by your line manager from time to time.
Qualifications
Qualifications required are; B.Eng. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, 3 years in the Solar power sector will be sufficient.
Must be experienced in designs of Solar Power Solutions, Contract, Project Management of Power Systems, Solar PV Systems, UPS, LV/HV Electrical Panels.
Knowledge of UPS Systems, Hybrid Solar, Electrical, and Storage solutions will be of advantage
Previous experience in a similar position is an advantage
Knowledge Of solar system design and integration
Good knowledge of the computer and the applications relevant to the position; like MS Office, AutoCAD and all other engineering software is a must.
Ability to develop and make presentations for existing and prospective customers, in a professional manner
Strategic thinking, prioritization skills and ability to plan and execute under defined procedures.
Adept at quickly understanding new technologies and identifying business value.
Strong commercial and financial modeling acumen with analytical skills
Must possess excellent management, as well as organizational skills
Possess the ability to cope with stress and effectively prioritize tasks
Creativity: must be able to develop fresh ideas and strategies
Effective people skills: He/she must have the ability to handle people no matter how difficult they might seem
Ability to multi-task: He/she must be able to complete several tasks together and meet up with deadlines
Ability to work under pressure and still be effective
Ability to engage in new product/service research for the company
Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
