IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Nigeria as Senior Manager, Reporting, Reconciliation & Analysis. The Senior Manager, Reporting, Reconciliation & Analysis will provide Finance support to the Technical Division to ensure strategic, financial and operational goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Collate financial and other inputs to Technical Finance’s annual plan.
Maintain Technical Finance’s database and data structure to ensure aligned and consistent reporting on decision-making and performance monitoring activities.
Identify gaps by monitoring actual vs planned spend across Technical. Recommend intervention options and drive execution of approved intervention options.
Provide monthly analysis of spend patterns (including penalties) as input to improvement and cost-containment activities.
Review and collate monthly accrual reports for use by Finance.
Ensure integrity of the Technical Division’s accounting and financial reporting systems, including independent audits and appropriate controls.
Ensure all audit issues are cleared by accountable individuals/ teams.
Continuously improve data quality to facilitate better decision-making internally and enhance client discussions externally.
Prepare and present business cases for new products and services, innovations and new solutions across Technical.
Explore and collaborate across functions on opportunities to increase the company’s profitability and reduce spending.
Collect inputs across Technical departments for preparation of budgets and FCT.
Compile and consolidate budget spend for Opex and Capex categories.
Track Opex and Capex for timely reporting and reconciliation of key projects.
Serve as Technical’s central point of contact to share budget and FCT inputs with Finance, ensuring required budgets are properly captured by Finance and presented for approvals.
Secure budgets for approved Technical projects from Finance and control budgets for all proofs of concept (PoCs) and new projects across Technical.
Communicate approved budgets to Technical leaders for their respective departments.
Raise and monitor purchase requests (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) from the approved budget.
Monitor budget utilization.
Coordinate closely with Supply Chain on ordering, pricing and delivery of goods and services for Technical.
Prepare annual materials plan in coordination with Technical departments and Supply Chain.
Perform regular review of materials in hand, pipeline, and deliveries to site across different Capex projects.
Deliver monthly reporting on Opex and Capex to Nigeria Finance teams.
Review the monthly Capex report received from Finance and provide feedback on any discrepancies.
Regularly update Capex trackers to ensure correct information is reported and presented.
Prepare, collect and share monthly MBR data with Finance.
Prepare and share data with the Business Decision Support (BDS) as inputs to the monthly Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Scorecard.
Participate in contract negotiations, reviews and compliance.
Review and approve all Technical POs issued to vendors.
Liaise and follow up for timely issuance of PRs, POs, and invoices for key Technical projects.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director, Technical Finance.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any numerate discipline. MBA or advanced specialist Master’s in any finance or analytical discipline will be an asset.
Relevant professional certifications, e.g. FCA, FCCA, FCMA, will be an added advantage.
+13 years’ cognate experience in Finance within the telecoms industry with most recent 5 years in a senior managerial role supporting executives.
