Job Title: Senior Specialist, IT Business Analysis
IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Nigeria as Senior Specialist, IT Business Analysis.
The Senior Specialist, IT Business Analysis serve as the interface between IT and specific business units across IHS for business technology alignment, technology needs identification, solution discovery, and relationship management.
The individual will also collaborate across functional areas and OpCos to define opportunities, identify and prioritize demand based on predefined criteria while ensuring there is no deviation from the strategic and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure functional end users receive effective, responsive, and customer-centric IT services.
Continuously apply understanding of functional requirements and processes to identify business technology and/ or process opportunities including process automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Work with business and IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions that deliver business value within agreed timelines and budget.
Provide highly valued support and guidance to the business on IT initiatives and facilitate the production of a prioritized roadmap to meet business demand.
Develop a strong understanding of each business segment, offering expert advice whilst balancing the needs of the end customer with the central IT strategy.
Advocate for IT by promoting IT services and capabilities.
Build strategic and valued relationships based on integrity and rapport. Serve as a proactive and trusted advisor to IHS business units.
Own and manage key strategic relationships between IT and vendors.
Facilitate strategic conversations and planning with key business stakeholders to ensure that business strategies and needs are aligned to current and future state enterprise architecture.
Champion requirements gathering, prepare recommendations and drive the development of business cases through to completion.
Ensure delivery of technology outcomes that foster value management and optimization.
Partner with all business stakeholders within the assigned portfolio to ensure a clear understanding of the business architecture changes required to deliver business outcomes.
Work with stakeholders to ensure the impact of proposed investment is understood by decision makers and will support informed prioritization in line with relevant governance and control, such as the Program/ Project Management Office (PMO).
Collaborate with the enterprise architecture and operations team to design solutions that support business processes and align with enterprise-wide strategies and business architecture.
Serve as the portfolio manager to enable mutual prioritization of business demand while overseeing the launch of solutions and technology rollouts to help maximize the positive impact of the business units.
Develop and maintain a project and enhancement roadmap aligned with business priority, IT capacity, technical dependencies, and ongoing project portfolio.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Associate Director, IT Africa.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Advanced Specialist degree in a relevant discipline will be an asset.
+7-10 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis and Project Management. Relevant certifications will provide an added advantage.
Demonstrable proficiency in use of relevant business processing modelling and other business analysis tools.
Should possess advanced skills in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, portfolio optimization, and risk assessment
Broad experience in project and solution delivery of key enterprise applications & solutions, e.g. ERP, Enterprise Asset Management, Data-Warehousing, and other BSS.
