Job Title: Senior Internal Control & Risk Management Officer (SICRM)

Job Objectives and Primary Responsibilities

• The Senior Internal Control and Risk Management Officer (SICRM) will be responsible for designing/redesigning and monitoring the control systems set in place to promote and ensure strict adherence to internal and statutory policies, particularly those related to prudent operational, good governance, and ethical standards.
• The SICRM will also be responsible for assessing, identifying, measuring, and managing emergent risks in the company.

Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure the development of a robust internal control plan for all departments in the company
• Conduct periodic reviews and test internal control systems to ensure compliance with relevant policies/regulations in line with the company’s control objectives.
• Proactively identify weak operational systems and recommend remedial measures or policies to guard against possible fraud, service failure,and business disruption
• Provide support, educate and train staff to build policy compliance and internal control and risk awareness within the organization.
• Conduct risk assessment analyses and prepare risk assessment reports for key segments of the company’s business and operations such as market and operational risks.
• Establish policies and procedures to identify, measure and address risks in the organization including probable losses.
• Review, assess, recommend and implement risk management policies, documentation, protocols, and solutions including those for insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, recovery measures, etc.
• Review and analyze metrics and data such as cash flow, inventory, breakage, and employee activity that could uncover risk and/or fraudulent behavior.
• To prepare and present risk reports and proposals to executive leadership.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education / Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (Second Class Lower) or it's equivalent in a numeric discipline
• A Post-graduate Degree in Risk Management / MBA in Professional certification e.g., ACCA, CIA will be an added advantage.

Work Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the consumer electronics or related industry or 8 years of cognitive finance experience at the management level in relevant functions of risk and control
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethics and Integrity
• In-depth knowledge of Finance Regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use and apply technology in day-to-day activities including data interpretation and risk management.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
