Job Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Chairman & CEO, this job role provide leadership and co-ordination for company’s day-to-day Financial Control, including, Billing and Receivables Control; Taxation and monthly, quarterly and annual Operational Expense (OPEX) goal management and Cash & Cash Equivalents, including bank reconciliation Activities as well as institution and management of an appropriate Fixed-Asset Register Company’s FAR);
• To establish,strengthen and develop Financial Control function with a focus on delivering excellence;Coordinating inputs from the key stakeholders and customers into Monthly Financial Accounts and yearly Financial Reports to Auditors;
• To build and lead an effective and cohesive second-level; Financial Accounting (FINCON) function management team; Financial
• Accounting & Book-Keeping Management Team; Tax Management Function; Liason with Tax Consultant & External Auditors for areas under FINCON supervision as delineated below;
• Investment Management & Treasury Function with effective succession planning; To evaluate, appraise and mentor the second-level management teams; To ensure strict compliance with company’s guidelines and policy as well as those of the regulatory authorities including the Tax governing bodies etc. across all company’s locations;
• To build and lead an effective and cohesive Treasury Operations; Ensure that relevant information is communicated to direct reports enabling them to effectively carry out their functions.
• Complete KPI assessment of direct reports within Company specified time frame; Developing the policy, strategy and procedures of the Treasury functions.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• Membership of Professional Accounting (ACCA, ACA, CFA) Body is a MUST
• First Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable institution
• Previous experience with a top flight FMCG Institution.
• At least 10 years post qualification experience in Finance, tax or accounting.
• Advanced Knowledge of computer skills with proficiency with all MS packages: Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook, Project Manager & Access.
• Principles and practices of FMCG Accounting and Bookkeeping.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance relationships with suppliers, contractors and staff in order to achieve work goals.
• Hands on experience in Accounting, Finance and Taxation Skills.

Desirable:

• Post-graduate academic qualifications: such as an MBA from a top-flight business school.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using financial software.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Treasury and international Trade.
