Job Title: Production Operations Manager

Job Summary

• The idea individual who will be accountable and responsible for managing all field operations activities aimed at protecting and adding value to the company by ensuring that all activities in the field are carried out in a safe, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.

Accountabilities

• Increase the production capacity by improving performance and oversee production control , to achieve production targets.
• Supervise Production Operations.
• Lead the production team in the forecasting, planning and delivering of production volumes.
• Develop production optimization techniques in line with Company HSE policy in a safe and efficient manner.
• Develop and manage budget and operational expenses, oversee proposal development bid packages and subcontractor agreements. 
• Provide cost and risk management.
• Build ongoing relationships with key members and functional managers within the organization.
• Manag e the commissioning and start up of new projects and flow station modifications to ensure compliance with standards, specs and contract terms and conditions.
• Manag e field production assets to ensure optimum exploitation and administrating the resources to operate and maintain all surface facilities to ensure optimum availability of oil production around the clock in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Develop 2 year Operational Strategy.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to be uploaded into the the company's Enterprise System
• Effectively maintain internal and external communications with a broad variety of engineering disciplines and management
• Supervising facilities and production engineers, and contract gaugers in the field.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. An MBA or M.Sc in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years upstream oil industry experience.
• E&P project experience with development of heavy crude reservoirs.
• Good knowledge of Upstream modelling software, financial and economic modelling skills.
• Project Management & Agile work practices experience.
• An understanding of all industry legislative and regulatory requirements, including project proposals, submissions, reports, approvals, cost recovery components, and auditing.
• Experience in engaging NAPIMS , DPR and other NNPC agencies.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures and environmental management systems.
