Job Summary
As the Business Development Executive, the appointed individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities among target markets in the public sector and international agencies with the objective of contributing to the revenue of the Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth and Expansion:
Attract new clients/engagements within the public sector in Lagos and Abuja by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business
Identify and research opportunities that come up within the public sector, large corporates and international agencies and communicate same to the head of the department.
Work with the Marketing department to create content for the target audience.
Assist in the analysis and presentation of performance information which will be used in order to further make decisions, improve business generation and identify potential issues which may arise, enabling feedback to examine supply chain stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential key stakeholders within the public sector and international agencies in Lagos and/or Abuja.
Drive initiatives to engage the key stakeholders and relevant key officials and departments within the public sector and international agencies.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
Create positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients
Identify and attend relevant corporate events and engagements being organized within the target sectors with a bid to making strategic connections for business.
Create and drive awareness of the company as the go-to Consulting form for public sector engagements.
Generate sales and revenue for the business
Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
Ensure clients’ needs are met with understanding and respect.
Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
Comply with business needs on a day-to-day basis.
Specification / Educational Qualification
Graduate with a Degree in any discipline
3-7 years’ experience as a business development executive in a B2B service environment
Must be outgoing and social with proven evidence of high network of individuals
Able to open doors of opportunities anywhere
Must be flexible in work hours and days
Well-connected in the business and HR space
