Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Management:
Overseeing financial activities relating to the Head Quarters, Regional Offices and Factory.
Managing Finance personnel and outsourced functions related to financial activities
Develop, implement, and maintain a documented system of accounting, internal control activities and general operational set of policies and procedures
Preparing and presenting financial data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives and manage finance team across different business units
Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulatory bodies
Funds Management:
Forecast cash flow positions and/or finance needs and propose cash management options to CEO and Board of Directors
Ensure sufficient availability of funds to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Maintain and expand banking relationships to offer the best services to suit the company’s financial needs
Manage trade finance requirements/instruments to fulfil business needs
Monitor and manage receivables and credit limits
Support the CEO on fundraising activities
Budgeting:
Work with the CEO and management team during the quarterly budget cycle to develop the company's financial targets for the year and prepare budget presentation for management approval.
Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
Prepare quarterly management report showing variances across the different financial and KPIs of the budget and demonstrate understand of the reasons for such variances.
Cost Management:
Develop and determine appropriate cost-accounting methods for the company
Advise the CEO and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on costing systems and develop/establish appropriate systems for apportioning overhead costs to the various profit/cost centers accordingly
Review and develop corporate expenditure structure with a view to suggesting areas where cost reduction can be made without affecting operations adversely
Financial Analysis:
Engage in continuous pricing analysis to support different departments in strategic and purchasing decisions.
Develop and review key financial and operational ratios to ensure profitable running of the business.
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis in all areas of the company.
Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
Support the CAPEX approval process by preparing economic evaluation models showing Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) based on a discounted cash flow analysis and establishment of realistic cost and revenue estimates that are in line with the market.
Any other ad hoc financial activities
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Accounting / Finance or any relevant field with a minimum of 10 years’ work experience in Finance, with demonstrated experience in financial analysis, treasury, team management and budgeting.
Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc)
Must have worked in a similar capacity in Manufacturing, FMCG, Commercial/Retail, Agriculture, Logistics, or Hospitality.
In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
Practical knowledge of financial analysis
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Financial Management Software.
Excellent Business analysis, Project Management and Financial Management skills.
Remuneration
N500,000 - N600,000 Monthly.
