Job Title: Android Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

• We are looking for driven passionate problem solvers and self-starters to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing applications for devices powered by the Android operating system.
• Due to the fragmentation of this ecosystem, you will pay special attention to the application’s compatibility with multiple versions of Android and device types.

What You’ll Do

• Writing clean and efficient codes for Android applications.
• Monitoring the performance of live apps and work on optimizing them at the code level.
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.
• Performing unit and instrumentation tests on code.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.

What You’ll Need (Requirements)

• B.Sc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development
• Proven working experience in Android app development and.
• Have published at least one original Android app.
• Experience with Android SDK.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
