Job Description

• Our client is seeking a West African Sourcing and Sales Representative to join their team.
• The purpose of the role is to represent the client in West Africa to target mainly commercial mines in sourcing gold smelter and gold refinery feedstock for the company.
• The incumbent will travel and conduct responsible sourcing site visits and conduct due diligences as requested by the company on small scale / artisinal mines / traders as deemed necessary.
• This role reports to the Head: Sourcing & Business Development and Sourcing Manager.

Responsibilities

• The core function is to source byproducts
• Sourcing dore - the majority of commercial gold mines produce an impure gold bar (dore) which is exported to, and refined by, an LBMA Good Delivery Refiner
• Conduct due diligence auditing/responsible sourcing compliance
• Attraction and retention of potential and existing customers / bring business in
• Interact effectively through communication at all levels, building relationships, negotiation and gaining commitment
• Focus on results through quality and safety awareness, managing work, planning, and organizing, decision making and customer focus.

Requirements
Qualification and Skills:

• This role is only open to West African candidates
• Must be fluent in both French and English (ability to read and write)
• Must have strong sales engineering experience in the mining sector
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Strong metallurgical understanding.
