Job Title: Barman / Bar Runner

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• You will be required to assist the mixologists in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the restaurant & lounge.

Responsibilities

• Create cocktails using fresh ingredients
• Assist in the preparation of all beverages, both hot and cold
• Assist with the general bar tender duties including taking and making reservations, taking and serving orders, clearing and preparing tables bar area, and bar storage (cellar, etc), preparing the bill, and taking payment.
• Understand the “ingredients” of cocktails and other drinks/ beverages to enable you to deal with customer queries etc confidently and to assist and help train other team members.
• Ensuring compliance with sanitation, hygiene, health and safety legislation, and organizational and quality requirements
• Assist in the quality management of beverages
• Effective liaison, support, and assistance with the remainder of the organization
• Generally, assist in the bar/drinks area as directed
• Maintaining accurate records and accounts as required and agreed
• Help set an example for other team members of commitment, work ethic, habits, and personal character
• Responsibly use resources and help control expenses
• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures

Qualities

• Qualifications sufficient to perform the job role insert as required
• Certification required insert as required
• Languages as required insert as applicable e.g. English, Italian
• Experience in this type of job role insert as applicable e.g. minimum 6 months of practical experience
• Understanding and experience of the following insert as applicable
• Good understanding of how both the front of house and organization works and of food and beverage hygiene and quality standards and health and safety.
• Enthusiastic and hard-working.

• Ability to work under pressure.
