Facility Manager in Residential Facility at Fusion Group

Fusion Facilities commenced operations in 2013 as a business focusing on integrated management services. The vision expanded in 2015 when the Directors decided to adopt a Group structure and focus on the following sectors which are critical to the attainment of man's physiological and safety needs. Our business outlook currently covers Africa and Europe through our subsidiaries; Fusion Facilities Management Limited (PTY) in South Africa, Fusion Group Management Limited in UAE (Dubai) and Fusion Group Management Limited in UK. We focus on Real Estate, Hospitality and Tourism.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Manager in Residential Facility

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  • conduct regular facilities inspections and supervise maintenance or repair of facilities and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
  • Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  • Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking
  • Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships
  • Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
  • Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
  • Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  • Monitor performance, develop and train staff
  • Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Advise on and monitor energy efficiency
  • Oversee environmental health and safety and ensure security of the facility
  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Hotel Administration or other related Social Science
  • 5 - 8 years in Operations management (experience in the hospitality industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance processes would be an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Industry applicable regulations, standards and rules, codes and safety laws.
  • Business knowledge, leadership ability and technical understanding of operations
  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft office suite and working knowledge of industry specific software if any
  • Strong oral (presentation skills) and written communication- ability to effectively communicate and present complex technical information to a variety of audiences by speaking or in writing
  • Team work- encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity; foster commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve department goals.
