Copywriter (Assistant to Editor) - Remote at a Leading US Based Online Retailer - ScaleLab Inc

ScaleLab is acting as an intermediate in the job search for another US based corporation, an online retailer (specializing in online and offline sales of tires in the territory of the USA) with double digit yearly growth numbers (current at $6 million / year revenue), 50+ staff members and roughly 10 outside contractors in the team. In the process of doubling retail output with new facilities in US, we are looking to switch all of our e-commerce operations to in-house development. Our core business is online retail in the US automotive space.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Copywriter (Assistant to Editor)

Background

• We are rapidly growing, and right now, we are expanding our remote content department
• Our content team consists of strong editors and copywriters with years and even decades of experience. The content department creates materials for landing pages / static site pages / blog posts / articles and corporate needs (e-mails, marketing materials, etc.)
• Now we are opening the position of Assistant to Editor in Chief. The perfect candidate for this position is a native English speaker with the professional copywriting/editing experience and willing to grow as an editor or copywriter. We are offering a permanent/remote position and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities
As an Assistant to Editor in Chief you would:

• Proofread and copy edit of the texts: correct the technical errors, make agreed changes to the final text, adapt / paraphrase the text for the US audience, other editor's instructions.
• Understand the topic, purpose of the content and basics of SEO for proofreading and collection of photo and video content for articles.
• Computer and technical literacy - work in various environments and applications, use and offer digital tools for working with content.
• Work in tracking programs to control work and results, communication via corporate chats, online meetings, e-mail, etc.
• Perform the work efficiently and within the deadlines.
• Work remotely, wisely organize your working day, be online at agreed hours, participate in team meetings.
• Ensure a computer and stable Internet for work, independently solve issues related to the organization of your work schedule, computer and Internet glitches.
• As an Assistant, be supportive, flexible, work successfully independently and within the team, show your initiative and persistence where that can support the project.

Requirements

• Native English speaker
• 3 years work experience
• Extreme attention to detail with respect to, grammatical correctness, etc. and zero tolerance for errors
• The diligence and initiative inherent in the position of an assistant
• The copywriting or editing experience, familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) and photo/video content collection
• Ability to work online within the flexible schedule
• PC and stable internet connection.

Job Advantages

• 100% Remote work, work on your own schedule (several hours overlap with EST timezone is required)
