Our client, an early years and primary school in Abuja, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head Teacher

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Details

• The ideal candidate should have experience both as a classroom teacher and as a Head of school.
• Our client is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Head Teacher with a knowledge of International Curriculum and at least 10 years work experience in a school.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following:

• Key into the vision and mission of the school and effectively communicate same to staff and parents
• Drive the daily operations of the school, ensuring the attainment of best practices in all aspects of daily operations and school activities.
• Providing effective academic leadership and ensuring high standard of teaching and quality pupil learning experiences.
• Ensuring effective implementation of the Curriculum
• Work with all relevant personnel to ensure the safety of the school environment and facilities
• Actively engage with parents in the overall development of their wards
• Report to the Director
• Having overall responsibility for the management of the school programmes
• Maintain school policies and rules
• Keeping up to date with new educational innovations and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, preferably in the following disciplines:
• B.A Ed. (English), B.ED. Educational Management
• 10 - 20 years relevant work experience.

Relevant Skills:

• Must have a growth mindset and be eager to explore new ideas and approaches
• Possess strong and compelling written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong administrative and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks through effective use of time and resources
• Good collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of teaching
• Ability to be firm when neccessary.
