Job Title: Managing Director / Insurance Broker

Position Details

• The Candidate will provide leadership to the company, to achieve the key objectives of the company in managing its entire sales, business development and operations team, towards the achievement of organizational strategy and goals.
• She/he will be responsible for devising, implementing and owning the strategy around customer onboarding, & customer retention, including delivering on the topline revenue objectives for new policy issuance and renewal collections and for complete policy management

Job Responsibilities

• Be the Chief Marketing Officer of the company
• Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business initiatives through cost effective operations and market development activities
• Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
• Track, implement and optimize all business  marketing channels
• Develop effective sales strategies and ensure budgets for assigned targets are met
• Build and train effective sales team to achieve the organization goals
• Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures.
• Maintain business profitability and ensure compliance with all regulatory directives and NAICOM guidelines.(National Insurance Commission)
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of other Executives/Managers while providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
• Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile

Requirements

• Not less than 5 years post qualification experience in the Insurance Industry of which must be at Senior Management level. Alternatively, a First Degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution, with not less than 10 years of post-qualification experience,  of which must be at a Senior Management level in the Technical department of an insurance company
• A recognized professional qualification in Insurance (eg. ACIIN) Associate Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria or  (ACIB) Associate Chartered Insurance Brokers will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in the use of modern day technology based service delivery tools
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
• Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
• High level strategic thinking and networking abilities
• Proven experience as an insurance senior Executive
• Director in an Insurance Company is an added advantage.
