Job Title: Python Web Developer

Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are looking for a mid-level Python Web Developer responsible for building APIs and web applications for managing business logic and data exchange between the database and the users.
• Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and secure APIs to serve data and provide the functionality to the front end.
• You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities

• Design software architecture for web applications and ship elegant python codes with consideration of performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability, and testability.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Implementation of security and data protection.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related subject.
• At least 1 year work experience.
• Deep understanding of backend web technologies
• Fluent in python programming
• Proficient in developing web applications with Django
• Understanding of Object Oriented programming in python
• Understanding of Software Architecture and Software Design Principles

Experience and Skills:

• Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience.
• Should be familiar with a python web framework Django (preferred), Fast API or Flask frameworks.
• An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• Ability to work effectively while remote (with little to no supervision), great attention to detail & highly organized.
• Familiar with the use of relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL etc.

Requirement:

• Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries, preferably the Django ORM
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
• A detailed CV that contains links to previous/current projects.
