Job Objective

• Under limited supervision, responsible for analysis of systems to ensure operating within specification; assists customers in diagnosing problems and on systems installation, maintenance and upgrading; assists sales force in making technical presentations. 
• May assist in training and development of less experienced systems engineers; acts as technical coordinator or project leader.
• Also, provides pre- and post-sales support to the sales teams and customers – trouble-shooting, resolution of technical problems, analysis of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Works with colleagues and clients/users to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using methodical and consistent techniques.
• Produces schedules of requests for change (RFCs) for managing changes to the live infrastructure.
• Administers the change management database, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
• Organises the analysis and reporting of capacity and performance to timescales, standards and with the quality required by the installation, incorporating informed comment on configurations and use of hardware and software.
• Controls and manages database configuration including installing and upgrading software servers and application tools, ensuring that version control procedures are observed, applying fixes, and maintaining supplier and user documentation.
• Maintains and extends specialist technical and application knowledge of database (DB) concepts, data modelling techniques and design principles.  Maintains a detailed knowledge of general applicable database architectures, software, facilities and their actual and potential applications in local and general use
• Acquires information about users and information systems by handling actual products, reading technical specifications created by development staff and interviewing development, sales, marketing and support staff. Determines the documentation needs of users. Designs overall documentation package plans including estimates of effort required for execution.
• Leads the investigation of corporate data requirements, documenting them according to the required standards utilising the prescribed methods and tools.
• Provides expert technical knowledge in the configuration of software and equipment for the systems testing of platform specific versions of one or more software products.
• Develops and maintains generic project management standards, processes and procedures.
• Develops own ideas, or the ideas of others, making all the necessary observations and tests and carrying them through to a full practical demonstration, wherever viable and feasible
• Plays a major part in assisting customers to clarify their needs and requirements for new and enhanced systems, products and services, and devises effective solutions to these needs, giving due consideration to any safety-related aspects which may apply.  Assesses the feasibility and practicality of potential approaches and establishes decision criteria.
• Takes responsibility for the systems testing function within a systems development department or project. Allocates systems testers to pieces of work, taking account of individuals' abilities and the requirements of the work.
• Assists in the solving of business problems by providing detailed personal advice and guidance to all levels of users in the expert use of systems, products and services available to them; demonstrates ingenuity in applying knowledge to complex and non-standard situations.

• University Graduate- B.Sc in Technology or related discipline
• Post Graduate will be of advantage
• Professional Certification
• Knowledge and practical Hands on ACI Network implementation
• Knowledge Of TCP/IP
• Knowledge OF MPLS VPN’s
• Knowledge Of Routing Protocols Like BGP And OSPF
• Cisco IOS Commands And Functions
• Be Able To Use MS Excel And Works At An Advance Level To Produce Reports.
• Sound Knowledge Of MS Operating Systems.
