Job Title: Coiled Tubing Engineer

Reporting to: Coiled Tubing Manager
Subordinates: Coil Tubing Field Supervisors and Below

Job Description

• The Coil Tubing Engineer shall be responsible for overseeing the entire coil tubing operations and maintenance of oilfield equipment at the assigned work location.
• The incumbent will be required to provide daily activities reports and actively communicate with clients.
• Ensures that adequate safety precautions are taken prior to any job.
• Conducts short safety meetings/Tool Box meetings with direct reports for the current job prior to operations.
• Ensure that each personnel are made aware of the hazards and is fully aware of their responsibilities.
• Perform all types of Coiled Tubing related calculations, simulations and recording.
• Prepare Coiled Tubing Procedures and Job Programs.
• General knowledge of all Slickline and Eline Wellservice services.
• Identify and exploit all potential sales opportunities and ensure budgets are achieved/exceeded.
• Detailed knowledge of Coiled Tubing services and their applications within the industry.
• Have suitable knowledge of a complete range of services and their application within the industry in order to effect minor changes to job programs and discuss same with the Client.
• Maintain good and healthy relations among all superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
• Provide all necessary guidance and coaching to all direct subordinates during operations for the proper execution of the job.

Requirements
Education:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree.

Years of Experience:

• 15 years (10 years Operations and 5 years Desk Engineering).

Skills and Competencies:
Qualified candidates should possess the following skills and competencies:

• Must have Intermediate Computer Skills
• Must be knowledgeable of Well Test Data Analysis and Reporting
• Possess excellent Quality Control, Safety, and Handling Skills
• Good experience in Coiled Tubing Equipment & Tools usage and maintenance
• Knowledgeable of Data Acquisition Systems
• Excellent Customer Liaison skills.
• Project management, reporting & financial control for all jobs and costs.
• Excellent Management Skills.
• Detailed knowledge of Coiled Tubing Services.
