Job Title: Executive Director, Operations

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Managing Director in developing marketing and underwriting policies, procedures, rules and guidelines to assure business quality and achieve financial results.
• Assist the Managing Director in developing short-term & long-term goals objectives, budgets and plans for both marketing and underwriting.
• Contribute to the overall success of the organisationby effectively managing insurance operations including marketing underwriting claims, risk management and reinsurance of both general business and special risks.
• Ensure underwriting policies, standards and guidelines are consistent across line of business.
• Identity needed products, rate and coverage enhancements and then develop appropriate underwriting policies to support the new products and coverage enhancement.
• Monitor legislative developments and NAICOM regulations and recommend measures to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree/MS/MBA in relevant areas plus a Professional Certificate in Insurance.
• Cument membership of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria CIIN).
• Minimum of 15 years insurance experience with the last 7 years in an Executive Management role.
• Demonstrated understanding of the insurance landscape and deep knowledge of insurance technical operation.
