About the Job

• SAO Capital is working (in partnership with the Kwara State Government) as a Project Monitoring Company on key social impact-driven projects spread across the Agro, Energy, Construction, Health, Environment and Information Technology sectors. The SAO PMC’s intention is to reposition Kwara State as the foremost infrastructural Hub within the North-Central region of the country.

Other Duties

• Interacting with our clients and determining their needs and requirements.
• Managing design projects from concept development through to completion.
• Developing and presenting project proposals.
• Adjusting specific designs and plans to meet our client's needs.
• Preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents as may be needed.
• Carrying out extensive research and compiling reports for our clients on feasibility and environmental impact.
• Adhering to safety standards and local planning regulations.
• Determining and adhering to our budgets and timelines.
• Managing project teams and collaborating with other construction professionals.
• Preparing work contracts for building subcontractors. Supervising building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans.
• Ensuring that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations.
• Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals and cross-functional teams to deliver on projects.

Skills & Experience

• B.Tech Degree in Architecture or Building Technology. M. Tech in architecture would be an added advantage
• At least 5 years post-graduation experience as an Architect and currently practising.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma and other architecture software.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
• Strong creative and visualization skills.
• Membership in the Nigerian Institute of Architects and other relevant professional bodies
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Time management skills.
• Construction estimating or Finance experience is a bonus
