Objective

• The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the technology infrastructure of across campuses. This involves managing network and systems infrastructure while providing assistance and support to students, teachers and other employees. This role also involves overseeing Junior IT officers and coordination of the department across campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance for users.
• Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks.
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and other IT equipment.
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
• Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
• Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
• Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
• Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, security and peripheral devices.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house servers.
• Support and administer third-party applications.
• Ensure network security and connectivity.
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Set up G-Suite and Windows user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Define network policies and procedures.
• Assist in yearly budgeting for IT requirements.
• Oversee department members and ensure completion of tasks

Qualification & Experience

• B.Sc / B.Eng / HND in Computer Science / Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience.
