Edgebase Technologies Limited is an ICT Firm into Sales & sevices of ICT equipment, established in 2005 but formally incorporated in 2006, Edgebase Technologies is a company that specializes in the design of IT solutions, which includes but not limited to; Enterprise solutions, Storage solutions, Security solutions, Infrastructure design and development, Software customization and integration and distribution of IT hardware throughout Nigeria. It manages a well organized and committed distribution network operation for computing equipment for the following partner OEMs.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Account Officer

Location: Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• To develop and ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures and guidelines across Edgebase, whilst collaborating closely with the Managing Director and Management of the Company to ensure procedures are understood and embedded into the control function of the organization.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts and Financial Reports:

• Maintaining financial data, records and information for financial reporting.
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and other reports required by Management.
• Preparation of Annual statutory accounts.
• Managing internal control procedures and compliance with financial operational procedures.
• Supervising account payables to ensure that purchasing and payment procedures are complied with.
• Managing account receivables.
• Managing staff advances and retirement.
• Managing company Fixed Assets & computation of depreciation.
• Review general ledger account/trial balance and company chart of account.
• Managing staff payroll.
• Scrutinizing /authourising all payment and ensure they are within approved budget
• Managing statutory deductions and remittances to tax authorities; and
• Support systems and mechanisms for effective business operations and maintain continuous and accurate/up-dated accounting/ financial records.
• Ensure that financial resources are properly tracked, through stipulated financial control measures and ensure that corporate financial policies are met.
• Providing advisory services to top management on areas of finance operations.

• Timeliness and Quality of Reports
• Quality of Support Rendered to the Finance Manager
• Level of Financial Leakages
• Number of Audit Queries
• Adherence to Financial Guidelines and Procedures

Job Specification
Academic and Professional:

• First Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or other related field.
• Professional Membership of an Accounting Body is desirable. Proficiency with office automation tools and accounting software is mandatory.

Experience:

• At least 3 years experience in finance in function from reputable firm is essential for this position.
