Job Title: Provost

Location: Zawan, Plateau

Job Description

• The Provost is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the College
• He/She is the Chief Accounting Officer of the College and shall be responsible for the Execution of policies of the Government and the day-to-day administration of the College
• Shall ensure discipline among both staff and students of the College.

Requirements

• Should possess a minimum of Master's Degree from a recognized University in any academic discipline that is relevant to at least one of the programs offered in the Institution, Plus 18 years post qualification experience
• Candidates must be of proven integrity and possess sound managerial skills.
• Must show evidence of considerable scholarship through research, publications in reputable journals standard textbooks, and seminar / conference papers.
• Must be a current member of a relevant professional body
• Must show evidence of Community Service
• Must not be below the rank of Chief Lecturer who must not be above the age of 60 and not below 45 at the time of assumption of Office
• Possession of Ph.D. is of added advantage.

Tenure

• Appointment to the Position of Provost is by tenure of four (4) years at the first instance, and renewable thereafter for another period of four (4) years and no more by the Governing Council, subject to Satisfactory Performance

Remuneration

• The salary is consolidated and benefits are as obtainable in other similar Plateau State Owned Tertiary Institutions.
