We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior UI / UX Designer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to discover insights, define user personas, and map user journeys
• Define the visual style and position relative to design guidelines
• Design and deliver elegant and delightful product experiences as part of a cross-functional Agile product team
• Create distinctive, branded digital experiences that are consistent across multiple platforms, devices, and channels
• Manage a team of UI and UX designers
• Develops new product concepts, storyboards, detailed interaction designs and screen flows, and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions
• Create the wow in the solutions keeping in mind user experience
• Clearly articulate design needs and key decisions to business stakeholders across markets and brands collaborating closely with Product Development Lead
• Explore solution space and refine concepts via wireframes and detailed high-definition design
• Actively collaborate with stakeholders throughout the design and development process
• Build prototypes and design tests to validate customer needs, requirements, and behaviors
• Track user experience metrics and reports on the success of UX improvements, including analytics
• Help the Product Development Lead define both long and short-term vision and roadmap for digital products
• Conduct concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve design solutions
• Collaborate within and cross-team to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency and coherence across.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent Degree
• 4-5 years of experience in experience design, software design and development
• Experience in designing banking, financial services, or fintech products
• Able to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research and usability testing
• Experience with designing quality consumer products, as well as enabling business capability and objectives through technology
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who is self-motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence
• Well-rounded, user-centered design portfolio that spans some combination of web, mobile, tablet, and TV
• Experience in prototyping tools (Marvel, Invision, Axure) and design tools: (Sketch, Adobe Suite, Craft)
• Experience with Graphical and Visual Design, including use of a diverse set of software such as Adobe suite, OmniGraffle, Balsamiq, Axure, InVision, Sketch or other tools for Graphic Design, Visual Design
• Strong visual design skills, able to create compelling, branded, high-fidelity product screens
• Hands-on experience designing consumer applications for desktop, web, and mobile
• Experience with planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing and rapid prototyping
• Combined skills in 2 of 3 of the following: User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design
• Knowledge of Agile software development process
• Professional fluency in English is vital, both written and spoken.
