Job Title: Elevator Operator

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

• Observing passengers for signs of stress or anxiety in order to assist them during their ride.
• Reporting mechanical problems such as malfunctions, breakdowns, or defects in the elevator system.
• Using emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits in case of emergency.
• Providing customers with information on building services such as the location of the nearest restrooms or the hours of operation for the building’s business center.
• Responding to calls from firefighters who need access to upper floors in case of emergency.
• Maintaining records of all activity in the elevator system including maintenance checks, repairs, and changes in traffic flow patterns.
• Performing routine checks on equipment such as the temperature of the elevator cab or the level of oil in the engine to ensure safe operation of the elevator.
• Operating an elevator according to established procedures and regulations, including announcing stops and closing doors between floors.
• Reporting any safety hazards or unusual activity to supervisors or security staff.

Job Requirements

• Candidate should possess a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
• 1 - 2 years work experience.
