Business Development Manager - Power at Bboxx Limited

About Power AC

• In some African countries power sector is performing below standard, with low access rates or poor quality of supply, leading to the use of generators for primary supply or backup.
• Bboxx Power AC systems are specifically designed for domestic and commercial applications to provide power in the event there is no grid connection or power supply failure, as an alternative to a generator. Power AC systems are clean. Affordable, technically reliable (automatic changeover, little maintenance), silent, non-polluting, with low running costs.

Job Purpose

• This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to play a central role in managing the strategy and business development of Bboxx new AC systems in Nigeria. 
• The role will be offered on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to become a permanent contract in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Support definition of Power AC strategy together with all Bboxx stakeholders (engineering team, BD team, Marketing, and local entity)
• Manage Bboxx Power AC business development first in Nigeria and in other Bboxx African markets
• Manage and coordinate the implementation and the exploitation of a first pilot in Nigeria
• Manage technicians and sales force dedicated to day-to-day operations of Power AC products
• Manage reporting and budget
• Support in managing the different stakeholders involved (authorities, regulators, donors, …)
• Support the recruitment of required staff

Other Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the implementation and the exploitation of a first pilot in Nigeria
• Manage technicians and sales force dedicated to day-to-day operations of Power AC products
• Manage reporting and budget
• Support in managing the different stakeholders involved (authorities, regulators, donors, …)
• Support the recruitment of required staff.

Requirements
Experience / Skills:

• 3 years + of professional experience
• Previous experience in Nigeria is a must
• Good knowledge of solar industry
• Strong project management skills with ability to plan workloads, manage time effectively, meet deadlines, respect budgets
• Ability to manage a technical team
• Excellent communication (writing and oral), presentation, and facilitation skills in English (French is a plus)
• An inclusive person, who seeks realisation of goals and results through working in partnership with others.
• A ‘common sense’ attitude and a ‘hands on’ approach.
