Job Title: Brand Designer and Illustrator

Location: Nigeria (Remote)
Employment Type: Full Time

What You'll Do

• Create illustrations to accompany social media content.
• Establish the illustration style for brand/marketing.
• Create a well documented process/guideline of the illustration process.
• Work closely with product designers, Brand Team, and other cross-functional partners to understand expectations and deliver high quality outputs.
• Work collaboratively with other designers to understand and translate product needs into designs that are visually enticing, easy to understand, and ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience.
• Help define the Moni visual identity, pushing the look and feel of the brand.
• Translate brand strategy into powerful and purposeful creative concepts for various channels.
• Developing ideas that push the boundaries of product design and brand storytelling
• Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the illustration field.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years experience as an illustrator.
• A portfolio that highlights aesthetic awareness, high caliber drawing skills, and command of multiple illustration styles.
• Extensive illustration experience and an ability to execute across a variety of styles, whilst aligning your aesthetic to the Moni brand
• Experience bringing ideas to life with high quality comps and prototypes use creative software and other tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, InDesign).
• Experience in product design and design thinking.
• Experience creating and directing production-ready icons and illustrations that works across multiple platforms.
• Experience creating accessible, diverse illustrations and iconography systems.
• Strong illustration skills with range of styles.
• Experience developing mascots and characters.
• Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain creative decisions in words and writing.
