Helium Health is a full-service Healthtech company that provides a suite of solutions for healthcare providers, payers, and patients in emerging markets — at the core of which is our SaaS based electronic medical records/hospital management information system (EMR/HMIS).

Description

• The Product Design Lead will be responsible for the user interface, its architecture, interaction, user research and visual design across platforms.
• S/he will define the product direction, own the design, execution, and measure ongoing improvements against short and long-term goals on multiple products.

Responsibilities

• Create a cohesive cross-product experience including contributing to a style guide and pattern library.
• Partner with cross-functional partners to inform the digital product roadmap and drive product design strategy; establish standardized and collaborative ways for your team to partner with departments across the organization to advocate for product design principles in the decision-making process.
• Responsible for the end-to-end design process, leveraging their product thinking, systems thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills to deliver world-class experiences within schedule.
• Hire, lead and grow a talented team of product designers; create an environment where designers can accomplish their best work.
• Build relationships with cross-functional partners and executives to expand and deepen the organizational understanding of product design within Helium Health.
• Use and evolve our design system in order to craft flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity visuals for your features. Identify opportunities where research can inspire, optimize or evaluate the design.
• Actively participate and contribute to our design culture (ex: sharing work in critiques, mentoring, recruiting, and/or participating in Learning & Development courses).
• Execute in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

Requirements

• 6+ years of demonstrated experience setting the product design vision and leading a team to execute against, and optimize across, a portfolio of products, projects, and teams simultaneously, with a first degree or its equivalent diploma qualification.
• Solid understanding of building usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users.
• Experience in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
• Experience working with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features.
• Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
• Experience with products that depend on understanding user workflow and visualizing data.
