Fundraising Executive at PICLEHDEST - Abuja and Lagos

PICLEHDEST is a registered Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization providing solutions to the challenges of poor Leadership, inadequate Human Development and slow Societal Transformation in Africa. We are a team of enthusiasts who believe we can make things better, and we are indeed making things better with our intellectual, moral and financial resources. We provide interventions and initiatives, design, deploy and execute systems that aid to alleviate the human development challenges around Africa which is our primary catchment area.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fundraising Executive

Locations: Abuja and Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Objective

• To identify donor resources, raise funds and write proposals for long-term organizational sustainability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain a database of international and local donor organizations (international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and private corporations offering donations)
• Regularly monitor donor websites and identify and inform donor opportunities matching the work of the organization
• Maintain a blog and regularly update it with information about organization’s work
• Assist the Director in writing concept notes, project ideas and project proposals and ensure their timely submission.
• Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization
• Assist the Director in developing business plans to generate income from various sources.
• Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
• Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of the organization
• Improve and develop communications material for the organization such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster, etc.
• Organize or provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events for the organization
• Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.

Requirements

• Master's Degree, Bachelor Degree or HND in any related field with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Smart, resourceful Fundraising Executive who have had successful experience raising funds for NGOs.
• Must have experience working in this capacity.
• Must have proven track record of successful fundraising
• Should have strong writing and presentation skills.
• Being IT Savvy is a plus.
• Effective Communication skill is required
• Must have good practice of Emotional Intelligence
• Should be able to work without supervision
• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Should be Discipline and Trustworthy.
