We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bank Reconciliation Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Reconcile accounts that fall into receivable records with the sales invoices
• Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
• General ledger reconciliations
• Account reconciliations such as bank statements
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports
• Reconcile and process transactions that are complex in nature (use of ERP systems)
• Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the management
• Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities
• Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing
• Reconcile discrepancies in different accounts
• Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or any related Degree
• 1+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of commercial credit risk strategies
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required
• Superior communication, organization and presentation skills desired
• Experience with and in the use of IFRS.

Job Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and comfort with evaluating financial statements and business models across a range of industries
• Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes
• Possess a working knowledge of consumer credit risk management and sound market and industry knowledge
• Have an understanding of the key drivers of consumer loan/credit
• card financials and the underlying consumer behaviors that drive those financials
