Summary

• The Cartoon Animator/Motion Designer Role Plays an important role in our creative design team, the role will be responsible for creating motion video content and 2d/3d cartoon animated narrative sequences for use across a variety of media, including social media, mobile platforms, and websites.
• Our ideal candidate is an expert in a variety of Adobe products, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Character Animator, Adobe Animate, Blender, Open toonz, Maya, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects etc.
• The Cartoon Animator/Motion Designer will work closely with the marketing team, and a team of creative professionals, to support our company goals and media initiatives.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
You will focus on:

• Creating and delivering motion Designs.
• Editing short Videos and memes for our social media presence.
• Conceptualising creative ways to convey abstract concepts/ideas/stories.
• Collaborating with team members to understand needs, review scripts, design storyboards, and create/edit animations in 2D/3D.
• Using creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form.
• Researching industry trends and developments and learning new applications.
• Creating character sketches for new animations based on design briefs
• Presenting the final animated or Motion work for approval.

Requirements & Skills

• A minimum of 3 years of animation experience.
• A good understanding of animation principles, storytelling, and character development techniques.
• Superb knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Software and common motion/Animation design software.
• A good and working Laptop
• Portfolio of Cartoon Animation & Motion Design work.
• Keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
• A desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with team members.
• Excellent artistic skills.
• A good understanding of the animation pipeline including pre-production, production, and post-production.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills - required for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
