We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Field Mechanical Officer)

Location: Lagos

Duties

• Inspect, install, commission and troubleshoot of faulty DG mechanical system, Engine components, fuel & cooling system components, exhaust & gensets canopy components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, Top and major overhauling of DG Engine, Fuel system,
• Cooling System, Exhaust System & Canopy with associated components.
• Conduct routine inspections, servicing of gensets and make modifications to mechanical systems of IC engines, generators and associated equipment.
• Assemble, install, configure, test & troubleshoot mechanical system components such as Generator Engine system, Injector Pump, Nozzles, Atomizers, Lift Pump, Radiator & components, Fan & Fan belt and fan assembly components, air intake an exhaust system component, Gensets canopy and other associated mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, etc.
• Handle all Mechanical and Hand Tools, Apparatus and Accessories related with Mechanical systems servicing & maintenance of the generators & other products of the company.
• Correct technically assembly/modifications related to generator mechanical system, engine, fuel system, cooling system, exhaust, other mechanical sub-assemblies and components complying with standard service and maintenance procedures.
• Execute in field top overhauling of diesel gensets engines as a result of gensets ageing or due to major faults.
• Plan layout and install gen mechanical system, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and standard codes.
• Write reports, obtain customer sign-off, snap pre & post pictures in line with the job requirement, send emails, communicate with line managers & call center before leaving any site after job completion.
• Conduct basic electrical work such as checking and adjusting parameters in Gen control module, checking/replacing/ repairing of charging alternators, Starter Motors & Electrical Lift Pump, checking sanity of AC & DC wiring between control panel and main alternator as well as up to the load termination point, site load assessment, etc.
• Check daily and conduct periodic maintenance of assigned vehicle in line with company process & manufacturer’s catalogue.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate, Mechanical Engineering.
• MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
• 3 - 5 years  experience as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer in a Generator Assembly or servicing company.
