Job Description
Create and execute/coordinate technical test plans for application change/new deployment and upgrades
Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers
Ensure integrity of information collected, stored, shared or reported
Document Solution specification documents & ensure all documentation is captured into the Knowledge Repository
Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing solutions
Analyze & identify quick wins on how to deliver business requirements
Identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs
Plan effectively to ensure technical deliveries are on time, budgeted cost and standard quality
Monitor application development projects through vendors
Carry out analysis of the customer's business requirements, as it relates to systems/application design, and traceable to the business requirements
Conduct and coordinate requirements clarification & design sessions to provide feedback and receive input from stakeholders
Knowledge of banking, ecommerce and wallet platforms and applications
Monitor application development projects through the individual lifecycles
Document Project Reports for presentation to IT Senior Management team
Proffer improvements to projects activities and delivery processes
Review functional specifications, acquire a detailed understanding of the testing requirements for a given design, and advise on practicability of proposed architecture/design
Develop designs that support the functional requirements business application projects and include the conceptual, high-level and detailed design specifications for build, implementation and support of these business solution
Manage work-flow processes, document weekly reports per functional area and provide input to monitor and execute business requirements
Education
First Degree in Computer Science or any related discipline
Fluent in English
Experience:
3 -7 years' experience including:
Minimum of 4 years working experience working In Information Technology Roles. Such roles include Software Delivery, Software Solution Architecture and Design – Using Software Development Methodologies Like Agile, Scrum, Kanban,
Knowledge and use of JIRA, BPM, Unified Modelling Language (UML) etc
Experience in Solution Development and Integration- Java/J2EE Platform, SOA (REST/WSDL/XSD/XL), Enterprise System Integrations (B2B, B2C) Web Design & Development
Knowledge of Telecommunications Applications - CRM, Billing, Acquisition, Payment Solutions, Value Added Services (VAS), Cloud Computing
Good knowledge of POS, Kioks and Mobile products
Knowledge of Ecommerce, remittances and payment platforms and integration
Knowledge of banking and insurance products and integration
Experience in translating business requirements into specifications that will aid quality delivery
Excellent written, Presentation, Report and writing verbal communication skills
Team player with a lot of energy and team coordination skills – Good analytical insight
PL/SQL and RDBMS knowledge
