Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

Description

• Accountable for geophysical projects to high technical standards which include seismic data acquisition, processing and field studies.
• Manage seismology/QI team working with geologists, reservoir modelers, geomechanics and reservoir engineers to optimize subsurface study workflows for resource exploration, appraisal and development, this includes seismic data conditioning of gathers (alignment, noise reduction, trace balancing, etc.), seismic-to-well ties and calibration, inversion of pre-stack and post-stack seismic data including low frequency model construction and seismic attribute analysis.

•  In charge of conducting QA/QC and Value Assurance of Production Seismology & QI deliverables; input to Static Reservoir Modelling, Field Review, Field Development Plan, Well Proposals, End-of-Well reports, After Action Reviews (AAR) etc.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of M.Sc in Geology / Geophysics with 16 – 20 years’ work experience or more in an active operating E&P company. Higher degrees will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate drive, energy and enthusiasm in order to take on the challenge and make a major impact.
• Repeatedly demonstrated ability to solve problems with previously established company procedures and additionally design procedures for Team or others may utilize.
• Demonstrable track record of managing 3D seismic acquisition project to interpretation and implementation and generation of seismic derived reservoir properties in both green and brown fields.
• Some knowledge of 4D seismic processes.
