Job Summary
The Information Technology Consultant will be responsible for creating transformative solutions and supporting both users and IT Infrastructure in such a way that promotes overall efficiency across the organization. The IT Consultant will provide support services to users, analyze and diagnose HSDF’s IT infrastructure, gather and validate business requirements, and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing various technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the team to research, develop, present and run value-driven business transformation initiatives
Liaise with users to gather and validate business requirements for IT projects
Train and supports end-users on the business applications
Test new systems against predetermined requirements to determine go-live decisions
Contribute to IT policies and strategies development
Source and manage IT vendors’ relationships
Manage Microsoft Office 365, Azure, SAP, and AWS tenants
Coordinate the periodic measurement, analysis and reporting of Information Security Key Risk Indicators and maintain the IT Risk Register
Support the development and implementation of awareness programs and campaigns to promote information security consciousness and compliance
Participate in coordinating responses and remediation of security incidents.
Provide deskside and remote support services to employees
Install, support, and uninstall software applications
Install and manage various hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, firewalls, routers, access points, and servers.
Support the IT team in developing network recovery and backup restoration processes
Provide network configuration, test, support, and maintenance
Provide infrastructure status reports regularly
Plan and conduct proactive monitoring, analysis, assessment and reporting on the system and network security events and compliance status.

Qualification, Experience and Competency Requirements
University Degree or its equivalent
IT professional certification will be an added advantage
At least 7 years of combined experience across IT service delivery, project management, infrastructure and security.
Good working knowledge of IT operations, policies, and best practice procedures in alignment with the International Organization for Standardization.
Practical knowledge of Information Security measures and best practices on prevention, monitoring, remediation and reporting
Proficient in networks, software (MAC and Windows OS), and hardware.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Fluent in spoken and written English.Proven analytical skills, time management skills, writing ability, and written and oral communications skills in English.
Must be able to work collaboratively with others in a participative management environment, working independently as well as working in a team
Must be able to take initiative where appropriate, proffer solutions to bottlenecks and challenges
Demonstrated expertise in applying rigorous analytical skills to understand and improve business operations
Strong organizational and project management skills.
