We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Engineer

Locations: Lagos, Ekiti, Ogun and Oyo

Job Summary

  • As a Sales Engineer, you’ll combine technical knowledge with sales skills.
  • To ensure your clients and your own company’s needs are met, you’ll liaise regularly with other sales personnel, and colleagues from other departments such as research and development, design, purchasing and production, and senior company managers.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
  • Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
  • Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.
  • Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains the benefits of changes.
  • Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment.
  • Prepares product orders and schedules deliveries.
  • Assists with research and development of new products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region
  • Traveling to visit potential clients
  • Calculating client quotations
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing to terms and conditions
  • analyzing costs and sales
  • Preparing reports for head office
  • Meeting regular sales targets
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data
  • coordinating sales projects
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.

Competencies / Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or field related to products and services being sold preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of related product or sales experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
