Peter University, Achina/Onneh is a Federal Government approved private university located between Achina and Onneh towns in Aguata and Orumba South Local Government Areas of Anambra State. The university places emphasis on both academic and character formation of its students.

The university shall commence academic activities in the 2022/2023 academic session. Imperatively therefore, the Governing Council of the university is recruiting suitable and qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Description

• The Registrar is a principal officer and shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the institution and shall perform such other duties as directed by the Governing Council or the Vice-Chancellor as the case may be.
• He/She shall be Secretary to the Governing Council, the Senate and any other statutory committees.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should hold a good honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience; or a holder of a Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and at least thirteen (13) years cognate experience; or a holder of Doctorate Degree plus at least ten (10) years cognate experience in a tertiary institution.
• He/She should have at least been a Principal Assistant Registrar for a period of not less than five (5) years in a higher institution; shall be in good health, demonstrate versatility in the management of staff and students, shall be a person of proven integrity, intellectually and professionally sound and knowledgeable in the rules and regulations of the university system.
• He/She shall also be versed in the knowledge of public service rules, and must be computer literate.

Tenure

• The Registrar shall hold office for a single tenure of five (5) years beginning from the date of his/her appointment in line with extant provisions.
• He/she may be appointed on acting capacity.
