Service Purpose
This Service is created to achieve the following objectives:
Provide SITE supervision on HSE, QA/QC, materials logistics and subsea technical support to the subsea team in direct contact as focal point towards SPS contractors
Guarantee personnel and equipment availability and mobilization offshore to the rig & OIMR/ LWI vessels, minimal NPTs during operations and no HSE incidents
Ensure that all operational requirements are proactively managed.
Service Dimensions
This role ensures personal and team commitment and compliance to Company policies, standards, codes of conduct, and HSE requirements.
Provides technical follow up support to the offshore operations & onshore service base subsea team & SPS contractors mainly ONESUBSEA, TechnipFMC, Exprotech and other key sub-contractors such as (Diamould, Fugro-impROV, OAL) including providing validation for subsea/workover operations ensuring the well delivery targets are met.
Two direct reports (QA/QC & Materials logistics supervisors) and interfaces with other members of the subsea team and onshore service base personnel
8 to 10 Deepwater wells typically delivered per annum
Works with and across other departments and assets (HSE, FOPS, ECP, HQ, C&P, finance, logistics, etc.).
HSE:
Demonstrates personal commitment to Company EP’s HSE Policy.
Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
Actively participates in Company safety awareness/initiative schemes and audits to ensure the contractors under his/her responsibility are compliant.
He is part of the on-site management emergency response team and provides technical knowledge
Ensures and verifies that operational risk assessment has been compiled and put in place for each operational task, with all associated risks captured.
Ensures continuous reporting of safety and environmental concerns/incidents within his/her team.
Service Content:
Lead and coordinate Company team in Contractor base ONNE to achieve COMPANY objectives.
Interface with Contractor base representative(s) to clarify Company operational and scheduling priorities, to coordinate Contractor execution of Inspection, Maintenance and Repair activities, and drive delivery of subsea equipment and services.
Interface with various DW Technical entities (Drilling & Wells, FOPS, ECP) to advise status of subsea equipment, materials and services; progress of base activities; and remain updated of the various entities’ operational schedules and requirements.
Support to Subsea Engineering of the various DW Technical entities for operational support, technical investigations, clarifications, and optimization initiatives.
Support to focal operational points for DW Technical entities (e.g., Drilling & Wells Superintendent, Offshore Operations Superintendent (ECP) etc) to execute mobilization of required OSS equipment and services for their operations.
Support HSE entities’ audits, inspections and investigations relating to Contractor base.
Interface with DW SPS and Subsea Engineering teams to follow progress in OSS and TFMC bases, and promote mutual support to ensure the delivery of both OSS and TFMC equipment and services for Company operations
Interface with DW Stock control to ensure proper tracking of materials and spares under Company’ custody and control, related to Contractor Base activities.
Procurement process in line with budget and operational requirements, and related administration/reporting/tracking.
Cost follow up and reporting to each DW technical entity on budget line/Call Off expenditures.
Proper spares management implementation by Contractor (storage, segregation, inventory, robust obsolescence management etc.) to assure operation and maintenance tasks are executed as scheduled.
All COMPANY owned equipment maintained properly and on schedule.
Interface with DW Logistics at Onne to ensure dispatch/receipt of equipment and people efficient dispatch / receipt of equipment & materials by COMPANY or Contractor at operational base.
Appropriate and periodic reporting to all entities concerned of status of equipment, materials, and base activities.
Ensure the availability, within short notice, of the specific equipment/tooling required to intervene rapidly on OML 130 subsea production facilities (XT choke, XT / Manifold SCM, XT / Manifold valves etc.)
Participate actively in-service quality meetings on a bi-annual basis to evaluate SPS contractors and sub-contractors’ performance reviews
Support the management of Life of Field contract for both Akpo and Egina towards Drilling & Wells, ECP & Field operations activities
Offshore Subsea Supervision for Tree on wire operations on OIMR vessel and intervention operations on Light well intervention vessels whenever the need arises
Actively support management of the SPS Contractor within the scope of his SERVICE responsibility and monitor Contractor to ensure that all obligations are met
Issue weekly equipment status and financial expenditure reports to Drilling & Wells/FOPS/ECP designated persons
Context and Environment
Deep water environment (up to 1600m operation water depth) on a 6th generation drillship with high daily cost exposure (~ $1.5m/day rig rate) and subsea activities on OIMR/LWI vessels
Works within multiple culturally and professionally transverse people.
Transverse activities across all disciplines within Drilling & Wells and outside (HSE, projects, logistics, Field operations, ECP etc.).
Accountabilities
Site HSE, inspection (QA/QC), maintenance and repair where necessary of Company equipment at Onshore base
Key initiator and Implementer of performance and cost improvement processes, procedures, and initiatives.
Zero delays to loadout plans and control of contractor base manpower priorities whenever required
Zero target for non-compliant tools and equipment on the rig, light well intervention & OIMR vessels
Timely closure of all FNCRs, QNs, SNs and troubleshooting issues regarding subsea equipment.
Formulate and execute solutions that will enable the larger Subsea engineering & LOF objectives to be achieved.
HSE Objectives
Familiarize self with Company EP emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any
incident, unsafe act or operation.
Be the champion for ‘Perfect Day’ and safety green light for Company offshore & onshore base as required
Support Company Audits and inspections of base and workshop facilities and rig site HSE visits.
Qualifications / Experience Required
Technical Degree (B.Sc.) Engineering
7-10 years’ experience in Subsea production systems with QA/QC, fabrication & testing and material logistics on deep water projects and contractor management experience
Operational experience in subsea wells discipline (Drilling & Completions Métier).
Excellent team spirit and ability to work in a diverse team of professionals.
Individual must be adaptable and proactive, with a methodical mindset.
Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
