Vendease is a fast-moving consumer goods e-procurement platform for B2B clients in Nigeria, with a mission to ensure hotels & restaurants are free to focus on catering for their customers. We take the problem of food supply-availability and quality off restaurant owners, so that they can focus on serving their customers. As an online marketplace, we give restaurants the opportunity to buy everything they need remotely and seamlessly from anywhere in the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Graphic Artist / Designer

Job Role
What you will be Doing:

• Conceptualise and implement consistent visual art direction for the Vendease brand     
• Collaborate with the Marcoms team to institute a brand identity, and visual/ verbal language across platforms, channels, and communications                                                         
• Lead the development, design, and adoption of the brand's visual vocabulary, placements, and usage mandatories                                   
• Guide the creative team (visual, verbal, content, motion) to implement emerging design trends and engaging campaigns that meet the marketing goals of the dept.
• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
• Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type, and style and submitting them for approval.
• Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
• Communicating with stakeholders about layout and design.
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Qualifications

• Not less than 7 years in graphic design, advertising and branding, creative arts, or marketing and communications 
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Understanding marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Experience with computer-aided design.
