Job Title: Production Intern

Location: Lagos (Remote)

About the Role

• Are you fresh out of school or not? Smart, creative, open to learning with strong work ethics? Do you have a dream to work in media production?
• This is an opportunity to join the magic making hub at AltSchool Africa as a production Intern and put your creative skills to an impact-driven cause as you get to work within multiple areas of our content production process.
• You are the ideal candidate if you have the capability to exercise your multitasking abilities in the conceptualization of ideas, assisting with filming, editing and captioning of educational content.
• You will be a great fit for this role if you are creative, have an unusual way of thinking and getting things done.
• You must be able to work on a tight schedule, meet deadlines, be organized and efficient in your work, be a good communicator and listener who pays close attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to the production team in preparation for shoot days and creation of content
• Assist with keeping production trackers and spreadsheets up-to-date
• Assist post-production team to ensure proper captioning for all content is achieved
• Work with art and creative teams to select audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design
• Carry out regular industry research as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team and internal stakeholders to achieve set goals and deliverables
• Review internal cuts on videos and provide prompt feedback on cuts from editors
• Transcode video footage: create proxies and sync raw files; Backup footage to multiple hard drives.

Qualifications

• Must be have great content writing skills
• Must be able to use digital and basic video/content creation tools
• Knowledge of color, sound, and graphics would be an advantage
• Must be able to use Google suites
• A strong attention to detail and a knack for excellence.
• Good knowledge of media production, branding and advertising trends with the zeal to impact and empower Africans.
• A can do attitude, teachable and a problem solver.
