Sunbeth Global Concept is a trading company specializing in the exportation of raw cocoa beans and cashew from Nigeria. Although established in August 2017, the company has deep roots in the cocoa industry as it emanated from Sunny Owoh Ventures Nigeria Limited, a long-standing cocoa sourcing company with over 20 years of business activities in Ondo-State, Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Officer

Location: Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Building and maintaining updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology in business sustainability.

Job Description

• Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
• Managing day-to-day related IT functions within the company such as handling domain, and website issues.
• Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
• Onboarding and offboarding employees on the company’s system.
• Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
• Maintaining local networks in ways that optimize performance.
• Developing policies and procedures for the IT department.
• Ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Providing orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.)
• Recommend and implement technologies to aid and smoothen the work process.
• Maintaining records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
• Identifying computer or network equipment shortages and placing orders when necessary.
• Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
• Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
• Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of any problem.
• Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter.
• Working closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as an IT Personnel or similar role.
• IT Certification is an added advantage.
