Afobec produces quality purified drinking sachets and bottled water. It supplies to customers wholesale. It's customers include hotels, eateries, fast food, pop-shop resellers, and individual bulk buyers. At the heart of Afobec is a grassroots movement for empowerment to better the health and life of people in society.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver (Delivery)

Location: Ubahadara, Nempi, Oru West LGA, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time (In person)
Reporting to: Administrative Officer
Employer Industry: Production and Manufacturing
Working Week: Monday to Saturday 8:30 am - 4 pm
Slot: 5 Openings

Job Purpose

• The Driver will be responsible for delivering the products to customers from one axis and location to another.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Convey and distribute products[sachet and bottled water] to customers from one destination to another.
• Supervise the loaders during the loading and unloading of products to paid customers.
• Keep the vehicles in good working condition at all times to avoid downtime.
• Inspect vehicles every day before work to avoid breakdowns on the road.
• Liaise with the front desk officer to ensure that supplies needed for the vehicle(fuel, oil, repairs, etc) are made available promptly.
• Record and create daily, weekly and monthly reports of activities and submit them to the administrative officer.

Requirements
Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of SSCE
• Ideally 2-5 years of experience working as a driver (experience in a water company is strongly preferred)
• A valid driver's license

Skills Required:

• Excellent driving skills
• Exceptional knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
• Familiarity with modern electronics and GPS
• Strong knowledge of Imo state, Owerri, and Oru west roads and shortcuts
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and car functionalities.

Competences Required:

• Ability to manage time very well
• Empathy for customers
• Ability to work well independently
• Capable of working under high pressure
• Very detailed oriented
• A strong work ethic.

Job Expectations
We expect that for this role, there should be :

• Less occurrence of unplanned vehicle breakdowns during work hours.
• Timely delivery of products to customers
• Delivery sales target met consistently.

Working Condition

• This job requires constant movement from one area to another in the field and as such will require someone very familiar with the vacancy location, state, and area.

Job Perks and Compensation

• N20,000 (net) per monthly salary + 2% commission on sales target delivery met per month.
