A local Gas Distribution Company with plans for significant sales growth and expansion in new sectors, is recruiting professionals to join our highly regarded team in the capacity below:

Job Title: District Security Supervisor (DSS)

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Duration: 12 Months

Roles and Responsibilities

• Facilitate harmonious interface between Government Security Agents and the client
• Conduct mandatory Orientation Briefing for GSAS on arrival and as may be directly, with particular reference to the 12 Life Saving Rules, Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and Guidelines for Visiting GSAS
• Conduct On-Site threat assessment and participate in onsite field Security Risks surveys and verification exercises that will help to set Security Operating Levels.
• Ensure the strict implementation of provisions in the Facility Security Plan, Standard Operating Procedures and other Security Plans as directed
• Liaise with the Team Leaders on security issues to ensure effective protection of Assets and business restoration/operations.
• Provide prompt and adequate security support for Asset Teams and where in doubt, seek steer from the Security Coordinator
• Monitor implementation of the various Approved and valid Contractor Security Plans
• Collect, collate and disseminate Information/Intelligence to aid smooth planning by the Security Coordinator
• Arrange staff protection and security in and around these Locations.
• Provide/conduct Security briefing for New arrivals and work groups
• Ensure prompt provision of Escorts and security support for intra-field and inter-field movements in line with security standard operating procedures
• Assist the Security Coordinator to manage the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) issues related to the delivery of security services.
• Manage Location security emergencies
• Assist in all Emergency response processes and participate in Drills
• Issue weekly and other Security Reports (as may be directed) to the Security Coordinator
• Monitor the availability of security Personnel and Equipment and ensure their efficient deployment. Document such availability transparently for the purpose of monthly payments
• Perform such other tasks that may be assigned by or under the authority of the Corporate Security Leadership Team, its delegate or other approved Authority.

Qualifications / Competencies

• Holders of a First Degree or Service in the Armed Forces or Paramilitary for a minimum of 5 years and attaining a responsible status. Lawful severance from such Bodies
• Must have attained a minimum of 23 years of age
• Must have attended a course or have experience in Conflict Resolution Must Possess Interpersonal skills and Communication skills
• Must demonstrate that he is conversant with National Laws and Company applicable Rules that are related to Safety and Security
• Must have integrity and be devoid of habits that will inhibit performance as a Security Professional
• Ability to work under pressure, emergency and other extreme conditions
• Possess excellent customer service and security skills
• Ability to work as a Team Player and possession of Local knowledge
• Must have the window to work in Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan and environs.
