Primero Transport Service Limited is a leading provider of transport services based in Lagos Nigeria, a major partner with Lagos state Bus Rapid Transport system.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Formulateinternal audit plan and calendar and ensure the implementation of the plan
• Plan financial, regulatory and compliance related reviews/ audits of the organization
• Conduct risk assessments and identify measures in place to mitigate identified risks
• Review records, verifying entries, evaluating audit trails and checking compliance with local regulatory environment
• Supervise the effectiveness and efficiency of control environment
• Identify control gaps and opportunity for improvement
• Perform follow up work ensuring management actions progress within agreed timelines and escalate any failure to the senior management
• Conduct ad hoc investigations and reviews
• Provide advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within the organization
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company’s risk profile; manage the Company’s exposure to internal and external risks
• Implement and maintain an effective risk management framework including internal control systems and compliance policies, and ensure key risks are covered by appropriate and adequate measures
• Monitor that policies are applied consistently across business units.
• Establish and continuously improve a consistent operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of compliance risks and issues.
• Ensure that regulatory changes are communicated to staff and effectively implemented in the Organization.
• Report on internal control issues and implementation of internal audit plan to senior management and Board of the organization.
• Report significant findings which could adversely affect organizations assets or reputation.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• MBA or a relevant Master's Degree
• Finance or Accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA etc.
• Minimum of 8 years experience.
• Minimum of five years in management capacity
• Sound knowledge of transport operations
• Must reside in Lagos.
