The Ninety-Nine Edge Factor Limited ("99Edge") started as a marketing company that offered digital marketing services to other companies. However, over the years, 99Edge has developed into a consultancy that provides business operation services to start-ups, businesses and companies. These services include human resources, administration, accounting and marketing. We aim to allow businesses, especially startups, to focus on their primary objective; the business idea, while we handle the operations and any technical needs.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: Remote

Job Description

• Organize and analyze data and processes to identify any problem and improve the key areas.
• Design strong APIs that support mobile and desktop clients.
• Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to set objectives and design robust, functional codes.
• Enhance the user-end experience and use the cloud to manage data and systems.
• Develop new, innovative, and in-demand concepts for programs, features, and products from the industry.
• Optimize web applications for improved performance and scalability.
• Develop automated tests to see if business needs are fulfilled.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable codes and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features
• Provide training and support to internal teams

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on backend web development experience.
• Proficient knowledge of a backend programming language and an in-depth understanding of web development.
• Knowledgeable of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors.
• Proven experience managing the hosting environment, that includes database administration and scaling an application to support load changes.
